Kendriya
Vidyalaya CRPF, Durgapur, has celebrated 24 years of
meritorious service in the cause of education. It is blessed
with a strength of nearly 1200 students and equipped with
dedicated staff to provide quality education. Here, in our
Vidyalaya, the teacher not only fulfills the role of a
communicator of knowledge but also acts as a Mobiliser,
Inspiration, Co-ordinator, Guide and Philosopher.

ACADEMIC RESULTS - 2006 - 2007 |

There has been a remarkable improvement in the Internal
result of the Vidyalaya. The over all result of the
Vidyalaya is 94.57%. In the primary section it is 100%.
Still there is 'Miles to go before we
sleep'. So to achieve quality result the band of dedicated
staff leave no stone unturned & also work for the
development of moral values. |

SCOUTING AND GUIDING |

The School is proud of having a wing of
Scouts & Guides along with Cubs & Bulbuls. The Scouts &
Guides have participated in various social work and
rendered valuable help. They have organized rallies. 11
Scouts have passed the Rajya Purashkar Testing Camp. |

LIFE SKILL PROGRAMMES |
|
|
Lectures on “Life Skills” have been
arranged for the students of classes IX to XII. It has
been decided to have interactive sessions periodically, so
as to equip the students to manage day-to-day challenges,
to improve concentration and to manage stress. Lecture on
Prevention of AIDS was also organized for adolescent
students. |

GUIDANCE AND COUNSELING |

Career counseling Programmes have been
taken up in right earnest. Rotary club of Durgapur, met
the students of class XII & had an interactive session
regarding the various options offered after + 2. |

VOCATIONAL EDUCATION |
|
|
Competent teachers are imparting proper
training to the students in the field of art, craft,
music, cricket and martial Arts (Taekwondo). |

VALUE EDUCATION |

|

Fragrance stirs the soul.”

|
And education is incomplete if it does not
impart values. Value education is imparted to the students
through value oriented stories and speech by teachers on
every Wednesday. |

PARENT TEACHER MEETING |
|
|
Regular Parent Teacher Meetings are
conducted to discuss the academic performance of the
students. Special emphasis has been laid on Class X & XII.
The co-operation of the parent is sought to improve the
quality of Board result.
All important days have been celebration,
Children’s Day, KVS Foundation day, Hindi Diwas etc, are a
regular feature of the Vidyalaya & have been celebrated in
a befitting manner. |

Sri A. K. Mukherjee (LDC) and Sri
S. Chatterjee (Gr. D) have scored distinction marks in
Hindi Prabodh Examination and brought laurels to the
Vidyalaya.
It is a matter of great pride that all the
employees of the Vidyalaya have gained working knowledge
of Hindi.
Smt. S. Bhattacharya, PGT
(English), had the good fortune to be the Resource person
for the Inservice course of TGT (English) at KV, Command
Hospital. Many of the teachers have attended Inservice
courses arranged by KVS at different venues.
We are striving hard to achieve our goal
imparting quality education that will shape our future
citizens as good human being. If our thoughts are
integrated then sealing new heights become a reality. So …
