Kendriya Vidyalaya CRPF, Durgapur was founded in 1981. One of the leading units of KVs is now one of the well reputed Vidyalaya. It is situated in the lush sprawling campus of Group Centre, CRPF, Durgapur. The Vidyalaya is amidst greenery and scenic beauty. This full bloomed Vidyalaya imparts quality education from class I to XII, with Commerce, Humanities & Science stream at + 2 level with three sections in each class.  This Vidyalaya is miniature India and Aims at inculcating in its students feelings of patriotism, brotherhood & National Integration. There are nearly about 1200 students who are being guided by our well experience teacher, under the able leadership of an experienced Principal. this Vidyalayas has developed its glorious position among other KVs. This is all because of our academic achievements and achievements in all other fields of activities. We aim not only at the academic excellence but to see that a child grows with all round developed personality and turns into a disciplined citizen of India. In addition to well equipped Physics, Chemistry and Biology laboratories, the Vidyalaya has got Computer laboratories. To make learning stress free an joyful. LCD Projector, Overhead Projector and Slide Projector is there. It has a rich library with internet facility.  This Vidyalaya has big play ground. Games like Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Kho-Kho, Cricket, Football etc. are played regularly by the students. Every Wednesday Mass PT, Scout and Guide activities are conducted. Separate rooms for Music, Art and SUPW activities are there. Different drives are taken on weekly basis to teach values, Promote Love to Nature, Nation and Humanity, Develop Behavioral Skills and Scientific Aptitude and thereby to develop balanced personality. There is a House-system wherein the students are provided full opportunity to develop their skills and leadership qualities. The Inter House competition comprises of Debate, Rangoli, Folk, Dance, Quiz Contest. Drawing, Painting, Elocution, Essay Writing, Patriotic song etc.  Thus, the Vidyalaya in total has complete set up to promote sound Physical, Psychomotor, Intellectual and Socio-emotional Development of its students. With the mission in mind, the Vidyalaya has laid stress on academic as well as non-academic activities, Besides setting a very good result in the board examination, we boast of good outputs in co-curricular activities and sports. Students are also encouraged to practice meditation and yoga. We are equipped with good libraries, good laboratories including computer labs separately for juniors and seniors and variety of other useful co-curricular activities. The Vidyalayas impart free education up to class VII for boys and up to class XII for girls. Vidyalaya Sangathan has already adopted the new pattern Education i.e. 10+2 pattern.
